Laboratory
Most patients admitted to the hospital have laboratory tests as a routing part of their stay. The information we gather from the tests completed in our laboratory is important in helping your doctor give you the best possible care. Only your doctor or provider can order these tests. Evans Memorial Hospital Laboratory offers the services of a fully accredited laboratory. We are licensed by the State of Georgia and accredited by The Joint Commission. We have a board-certified pathologist to meet the needs of both our patients and doctors.

Keeping you healthy is our primary concern, and our specially trained staff take every step to provide the comfort and assurance you need with the quality services you can trust.
A diagnostic imaging procedure is an important tool that will aid your physician in the diagnosis of your health problem. Imaging procedures are often the best way to detect disease, prevent illnesses from becoming serious, and to hasten recovery by providing important information that helps your physician choose the best treatment for you or your loved one
The Department of Rehabilitation consists of a physical therapist and physical therapy assistants. We are pleased to offer services at both the inpatient and outpatient level. Outpatient rehabilitation is located across from the hospital at Jack Strickland Rehabilitation Center. The facility is equipped with state of the art equipment including an aquatic rehabilitation pool. We are also a Silver Sneakers site where Medicare Advantage and supplement plans pay for gym membership.
The team of therapists treat patients ranging in age from the pediatric to geriatric population and provide treatment services for a variety of diagnoses. All patients must have a physician’s referral in order to participate in therapy. Each patient is evaluated on an individual basis and a specific treatment plan is created. Our goal is to help our patients return to a higher functioning capacity.

Emergency
Our Emergency Department provides care to patients with urgent medical conditions ranging from complex problems such as heart attacks and strokes to other urgent conditions such as cuts and broken bones. Care is provided by a physician 24 hours a day, serving more than 10,000 patients a year.
We have 6 private rooms including a trauma room and cardiac room which are equipped with the latest technology. We also have imaging equipment available in our Emergency Department including a portable x-ray machine allowing the patients to have imaging performed right in their room if needed. Our Emergency Department is staffed 7 days a week with a team of highly-skilled independent board certified physicians, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, and support staff specially trained in the emergency treatment of adults and children. All are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support as well as Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
